Next Generation of Intel Laptop Processors [2025]

CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2025 is coming up in Las Vegas in early January (7 Jan, 2025), and that means it’s time for leaks and early announcements. Now it’s the turn of the next generation of Intel laptop processors , which are supposedly due to be announced during CES 2025, and which includes no less than 22 new processors. We’ve got you covered.

The leak was done by the famous leaker momomo_us, so if we stick to the precedents, we can give it a lot of credibility. The data does omit key specifications such as the number of cores, but in any case this is something that was leaked a while ago and we already know about it, at least in general. The leak also includes sales order codes, which means that these processors are probably already in the hands of laptop manufacturers.

Intel Core 200 Laptops

Intel’s Core 200 laptop processors are split into Ultra and non-Ultra ranges. The non-Ultra models will be released as a Raptor Lake refresh for entry-level, budget laptops, similar to the current-generation Core 100s. Likewise, the Core Ultra 200s feature the Arrow Lake architecture, split into the H and HX suffixes. Rumors suggest the Core Ultra 200U CPUs are actually a Meteor Lake refresh rather than Arrow Lake, ported to Intel’s Node 3.

As for integrated graphics, the Core Ultra 200 H/HX will use the new Intel Xe-LPG+ (Alchemist+) architecture with XMX cores, although the Core Ultra 200U series is expected to continue using Xe-LPG since they are Meteor Lake, so the latest XeSS Frame Generation technology could not be used with these processors.

Intel Laptop Processors

All that aside, today’s leak completes the puzzle of Intel’s Core 200 processor line, and it contains no less than 22 different processors.

Given the huge variations between each suffix on these processors, variations that go beyond core count or operating speed, users will now have to be more cautious when choosing an Intel laptop for this coming year, because everything is more confusing than ever. In this regard, it is worth mentioning that AMD is acting in the same way with its Ryzen AI 300 it is increasingly confusing to find out exactly what you are buying, and in the end it is best to know the exact processor model and go to the manufacturer’s website to see its full specifications, because if not.

In any case, all of these processors will be announced (in theory) during CES 2025, which will take place at the beginning of January, so there is less than a month left for them to be official. For its part, AMD is also expected to make an appearance to present the Ryzen Z2, Krackan Point and Strix Halo series, along with its new generation Radeon RX 8000 graphics cards with RDNA4 architecture.
